2012 marked the second year for the Career Exploration Opportunities (CEO) Expo. Organized by IMPACT Learning Center, The Greater Jackson County Chamber of Commerce, Northeast Alabama Community College, Jackson County Economic Development Authority (EDA) and The Earnest Pruett Center of Technology (EPCOT), the CEO Expo aims to expose all ninth graders from Jackson County and Scottsboro City Schools to the wealth of skilled career opportunities available in this area.

By allowing students the opportunity to engage in hands-on activities related to a number of careers, students not only get a feel for what career suits them best but also become engaged in planning for their futures. In 2012 we expanded from four categories of career paths to six, allowing us to give students a larger understanding of what all they can do.

Students are sent on a preset route throughout the entire complex. This requires students to view all stations and hopefully pique their interests in areas in which they were not previously aware. The chart below shows attendance from 2011.
